Karim Anaya

Karim Anaya is a Palestinian actor based in Berlin, known for his expressive physicality and

emotionally nuanced performances.He began his artistic journey through parkour, discovering movement as a form of storytelling —

a foundation that later shaped his path into theatre and film.

A long-time member of the Maxim Gorki Theater, he has spent nearly a decade building a stage

career defined by movement, presence, and depth.

His recent work includes his feature debut as Yusuf in Annemarie Jacir’s award-winning film

Palestine 36, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and was selected

as Palestine’s official submission to the Academy Awards.

Karim’s growing body of work reflects an artistic curiosity that moves between stage and screen

— exploring transformation, emotion, and the shared language of storytelling across cultures.
